15 Ways to Express Love to Your Child

Last week we answered a question about what all children need to hear from there parents. Steve Trader, Counselor at Pathways Professional Counseling has followed that answer up with 15 great tips to showing your child love:

  1. Teach your child about the love of God.
  2. Read a book together.
  3. Sings songs with each other.
  4. Hug your child often.
  5. Pray with your child daily.
  6. When your child is frustrated, listen to your child sympathetically.
  7. Kiss your child goodnight.
  8. Write your child a note of love and encouragement.
  9. Play games with your child that they want to play.
  10. Eat meals together as a family (preferably at the dinner table with no other distractions).
  11. Allow your child the opportunity to help you.
  12. Provide your child with as much stability as possible.
  13. Make your child a priority in your daily life.
  14. Create a special name for your child that is positive and loving.
  15. Say, “I love you” often to your child.

    Thanks for sharing this post with us! I completely agree with you that one of the most important reasons why quality family time is vital for children's development is the effect it has on their relationships. Your kids will start to develop positive behaviors because loved ones influence them, do you agree with me?
